[WARNING] This tutorial is mainly for people with basic knowledge about programming in general. If you don't know what you are doing, ask me, or don't do it.

This only solves ONE problem, which is "X3014: Incorrect number for numeric-type constuctor". It may or may not work for others.


Sometimes when you try to open an FX file in MMD, it fails to load it. This is how you can fix one of the common problems.

ok i need help with this it doesn't show me a number when i try it just gives me this

failed to load effect file D:/BACKUPS\BACKUP 31 10 2012/DOWNLOADS\MikuMikuDance_v739dot\Userfile\Acessory\effects\Lotion\Lotion.fx

Error some techniques cannot run on this hardware: MainTecBs7 MaintecBs6 MaintecBs5

and a lot of other main tecs zplots and etc eue

please help here what should i do ? :U

It probably means your graphics card doesn't support the effect or at least a part of it. Try upgrading/downgrading your MME version. Other than that I can't really think of anything.

oh i see well guess one day i'll buy it by the way if i buy it nothing on my computer will be altered or removed right ? it will stay the same ? n_n like idk im scared if i do this i might lose my precious things xD

No, it's only hardware, data on the hard drives will be intact. You might need to install the driver, but that's all.

hey, quick question,if I canīt use the newer MME version (for some reason it refuses) does it mean then I have no chance at all to use more sophisticated effects? because quite a few of them just make the model or object disappear
