From today, public downloads will no longer be licensed under Creative Commons. My Terms of Use will also be updated to reflect this.
The new license won't be any more restrictive or permissive, but it will remove that pesky "No further restrictions" clause in CC - I don't want people to distribute unedited copies.
Pictures and articles will continue to be licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA 3.0.
Software will be licensed under the MIT License for the time being, but I'm considering restarting the project under GNU GPL.
In other news, I only have one, maybe two exams left. I'll also never have to touch C again. This means two things:
1, I might become more active.
2, I'll need to find a job, at least for the summer.
I'm not sure which one will be the harder of the two.

Persona 5 be like
Sae: "You look like someone who knows people." *smashes table* "WHY DO YOU KNOW PEOPLE?"
Vampire Survivors is amazing
The developer (yes, singular) went like "What if we took the jackpot win screen of a slot machine, and turned it into a whole ass game?" The best part is that I'm not even kidding, the developer used to make virtual slot machines for a living. Also, it's like 2024 or something?
Midwest Angelica
Evangelion meats analog horror. Pun intended. This is the second episode of the second arc, and it's just... (chef's kiss) No spoiler here, it's almost like a standalone video, but I highly suggest watching the entire series. It has the potential to join Gemini and Mandela as one of the great ones.
fuck off, youtube...
Just today I've noticed that whenever someone on a youtube video talks about liking or subscribing, the appropriate button flashes with a sparkly rainbow-colored outline. This feature likely uses speech recognition, and it made me think of how much good it could do for viewers. For example, it could detect rapid changes in volume, and either warn the user, or try to normalize the volume levels to avoid damage to hearing. A similar technology could probably detect flashing lights and display a photosensitive epilepsy warning, or even dim or block the flashing area. You wouldn't even need AI for this. But no, Google doesn't work that way. This feature exists only to generate engagement, and since they're very far from any benefit of doubt, I believe that they're conditioning the viewers to click the pretty flashing buttons when the video says the magic words. Pavlovian style.
